With everything we serve we make sure to source as locally as possible and we have a number of fantastic suppliers that we love working with here at the B.V.I. From succulent meats and veg to craft ales and artisan cheese – you can be sure that the food we serve uses the freshest, local ingredients.

Laverstock Park Farm

Laverstock is where we source our wonderful cured meats and cheese for our deli counter including some delicious buffalo mozzarella. Completely organic, this family-run farm follows a healthy-eating philosophy that focuses on providing their crops and animals with nutrient rich soil ensuring that every product that we source field to fork is as nature intended – which makes for great tasting food.

Thames Valley Meats

Husband and wife team Gary and Debbie Lemon head up this fantastic independent butchers and have been selling high quality meats in the Newbury area since 2001. Only the finest cuts of British meat passes through their doors which are then hung on site and only sold when Gary and Debbie think they are ready. Great butchers that we are proud to support at the B.V.I.

Bourne Valley Pick Your Own Fruit Farm

There is plenty to choose from at this fabulous pick your own farm, just down the road from the B.V.I. Here we can pick and choose the freshest seasonal fruit and veg from the beautiful Hampshire countryside right here on our doorstep. From asparagus and beetroot to blackcurrents and strawberries, there is always plenty of inspiration for our menu to be found here.

Upham Punter

Brewed within a 17th century farmstead in the lush rolling hills of the Hampshire Downs, Upham Punter is a fine real ale. A small dedicated team at Upham Brewery handcraft their ales, of which there are only three, using age-old brewing methods and only the best natural ingredients. Scrumptiously malty with a rich earthiness and hints of syrup and toasted grain, Punter is a delight for any ale connoisseur.

Barbus barbus

Giving a nod to Hampshire’s fishing prowess, the Barbus barbus from the small organic Butts Brewery was originally created as a beer to celebrate the opening of the course fishing season, but it has grown to become a firm favourite here at The B.V.I. Butts Brewery only supplies its cask ales within a radius of 60 miles from their brew house, so you’ll be hard pressed to find this award-winning ale any further afield. Deliciously hoppy without being too sweet, Barbus barbus is a well-balanced cask ale that is sure to tickle your taste buds.
