bourne valley inn

Our Story

Tucked along a winding country road lined with hedgerows and surrounded by the fields and hills of the Hampshire countryside, The Bourne Valley Inn is thought to once have been a 19th century coaching inn offering comfort and refreshment to travellers on the road.

Today, we still offer that supreme comfort and refreshment, but brought into the modern day with refined British cuisine, delicious local ales and elegant, contemporary rooms that ensure you can relax and enjoy everything that the fine Hampshire countryside has to offer. Nestled in the small parish village of St Mary Bourne, we are perfectly situated for guests to enjoy the rich fishing chalk streams of the River Test, renowned for its trout, as well as the glorious fields and woodlands that stretch in every direction.

Our focus has always been on serving delicious seasonal food that champions local British produce, and in May 1998, our beautiful barn was opened by Hampshire and England cricketer John Stephenson, creating an enormous and wonderfully rustic dining area for our guests to experience superb modern dining in the heart of the countryside.

So come and join us for a taste of the beautiful English countryside and a slice of traditional British home cooked food and hospitality.
